Kitchen cabinets make a kitchen, giving it its distinctive look. They underpin everything else in the space, so they are likely to be the first thing people will notice about a kitchen. The appliances will be fitted into units, the worktop will be on top of units… they really do form the backbone of any kitchen.
So how do you arrive at a colour scheme? One of the first things to consider is the internal colour of your cabinets. From most standard manufacturers, there will be a choice of light oak and another colour, perhaps white to go with lighter frontals. If you have a handmade bespoke kitchen, you can choose any shade or wood you like.
You then need to select you frontals. You will see these more, so the colour has to be right. Choose anything from solid wood and wood veneer to creams, greys and whites, with a finish that is matte or high gloss.
